Uses and Indications
- In Ayurveda it is used by doctors for reducing the stress, calming the mind, insomnia (sleep disturbance), by reducing the cortisol levels in the blood. Dosage & Side Effects
In capsule Ashwagandha is given in 500mg. twice a day dosage.
No major side effects are reported on long term usage of Ashwagnadha. Only precaution to be taken is it may cause drowsiness in some patients who are already on ntihypertensive or sleeping pills. They should consult physicianb before taking the medicine. Self medication is not recommended.
