- Premature ejaculation is a male sexual dysfunction characterized by ejaculation which always or nearly always occurs prior to or within about one minute of vaginal penetration; and, inability to delay ejaculation on all or nearly all vaginal penetrations; and, negative personal consequences, such as distress, bother, frustration, and/or the avoidance of sexual intimacy.”
- This is also applicable for other than vaginal intercourse.
It is described as Shighrapatan in Ayurveda.
Causative factors are Vaat and Pitta dosha. When these doshas are increased they may provoke the vaat nadi to respond earlier and the person cannot hold it for long.
Controlling the vaat and pitta should be the prime motive of the physician. In ayurvedic texts lots of herbs and yoga kriyas are mentioned for treatment of such conditions.
Herbs like Ashwagandha, Sarpgandha, Brahmi, Tagar, Tribang, Abhrak etc are mentioned with combination of anupan for better results.
At Vedic Square this problem is treated on daily basis with fairly good results.
